Stress, anxiety, trauma and grief manifest in many forms and may impact all aspects of our well-being including our physical health, emotions, thoughts, beliefs, spirituality and hopes for the future. We may struggle with traumatic experiences, relationships, work, life transitions, reproductive health, caregiving, illness, loss, grief or other issues. When faced with adversity and life’s challenges we deserve the opportunity to slow down, connect with a therapist who holds our experience with us and receive the care we need.

APPROACH

I strongly believe we are all innately resilient and have the capacity for healing, growth and transformative change. Therapy helps us access our capacities by increasing awareness, building skills, enhancing inner connection and processing our experience to ease the burdens we carry and alleviate present day suffering.

The therapeutic relationship is a powerful resource through which healing, growth and change occurs. I appreciate the courage it takes to explore the benefits of therapy and am committed to providing a space that is warm, inclusive, authentic, actively engaging and respectful. Utilizing a holistic integrative approach that attends to mind and body, we work together joining your inner wisdom, strengths and unique abilities with expertise I offer through evidence-based treatment rooted in science, coping skills and compassionate care. Collaboratively we customize therapy to meet your needs and goals.

I welcome you to create space for yourself to explore the possibilities therapy affords, to empower your potential and optimize your quality of life and well-being. Look forward to connecting with you soon.

Therapy models used in treatment incude:

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) - Internal Family Systems (IFS) - Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) - Relational - Cognitive Behvaioral Therapy (CBT) - Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) - Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) - Sensorimotor Psychotherapy - Culturally Sensitive - Compassion Focused - Attachment-Based - Strengths-Based - Integrative

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based treatment rooted in neuroscience that uses bilateral stimulation such as eye movements, tapping, or sounds while focusing on aspects of a distressing memory associated with a traumatic or upsetting experience. This combination helps the brain reprocess the memory so it no longer triggers the same level of distress, negative beliefs or body‑based reactions.

IFS

IFS (Internal Family Systems) is a compassionate, evidence‑based therapy that helps you understand and heal the different parts of yourself. It’s based on the idea that we all have a core Self with a calm, clear, grounded center and parts that carry our experiences and try to protect us. When our system feels overwhelmed, parts can take over in ways that create distress. IFS helps you reconnect with your core Self so your parts can release long held burdens, work together with more ease, and move toward greater balance.
